GREENFIELD'S REGENERATIVE PROCESS
GreenField’s Botany™ Regenerative Process Coordinates the Suite of GreenField Bots to Deliver Chemical-Free, Carbon-Negative, Nutrient-Dense Ingredients.
GREENFIELD GRASSBOT | DEVELOPMENT
In order to clear fields for planting, conventional farming deploys a broad array of chemical herbicides in a “burn down” to terminate whatever is currently growing in the field.
GrassBot, instead of chemicals, uses a mechanical approach to clear fields for planting. Our fleet of GrassBots takes all the plants and up to ½” of the soil, tears it up, and lays down a thick mulch that represses weed or cover-crop competition.
After GrassBot has run, the crop is planted directly into the mulch with a no-till planter or drill. The crop emerges in 7-14 days and then outcompetes anything that might still try to emerge from below the mulch.
GREENFIELD WEEDBOT | DEPLOYED
Conventional farming currently controls weeds with chemicals. The chemicals are dangerous, ever more expensive, and prone to failure. Overuse of chemicals has led to the evolution of resistant weeds, requiring farmers to use greater amounts and more toxic chemicals, all at an increased and highly variable cost.
WeedBot solves this using a mechanical function instead of chemicals. Using our fleet of WeedBots between the crop rows, the weeds are cut repeatedly at 1/2 inch or lower while the cash crop is growing.
GREENFIELD COVERCROPBOT | DEVELOPMENT
Cover crop planting is a significant barrier to broadacre, regenerative farming. Cover crops are normally planted after the cash crop matures, but before the cash crop is harvested - so it is not practical to run a traditional planter as it will damage the cash crops.
In the case of fall crops, planting the cover doesn’t happen in some cases until Thanksgiving. So thus the winter cover doesn’t grow enough to be grazed until late in the spring.
CoverCropBot solves this problem by driving and planting between rows before harvest. It will carry enough seed to plant 3-4 acres and will automatically refill with the seed at the edge of the field.
GREENFIELD SOILTEST/CARBONBOT | DESIGN
SoilTest/CarbonBot will test soils and water for chemicals, nutrient density and carbon sequestration.
This test will be available on a self-standing bot as well as an additional component of via sensors on WeedBots, GrazeBots, CoverCropBots, and GrassBots.
GREENFIELD GRAZEBOT | OPERATIONAL
Currently, rotational grazing requires moveable fencing that is complex, extremely labor intensive, expensive, and prone to failure.
GrazeBot replaces all this with a system that drives itself around using solar power, fills itself with water, and does not allow predator intrusion nor escapes. It allows paddock grazing to scale so a farmer can take a vacation (gasp!) and not hassle with fence installation and removal.

Still Have Doubts?
Conventional methods use chemicals to control weeds. The chemicals are dangerous, ever more expensive, and prone to failure. The chemicals also require GMO seeds with resistant traits, which adds to the total cost and eliminates the ability for the farmer to save seed. Overuse of chemicals has led to the evolution of resistant weeds, requiring farmers to use greater amounts of chemicals and more toxic chemicals, all at an increased and highly variable cost.
